I Claim, Love, Honor, Deserve was inspired by a virtual retreat I attended for Survivors hosted by Breaking the Silence Against Domestic Violence. During this retreat, we were prompted to complete these statements and this beautiful poem was birthed. I do believe that writing is a therapeutic tool that helps to build emotional endurance.
