I Claim, Love, Honor, Deserve

I Claim, Love, Honor, Deserve

I CLAIM peace for me because I need it. Peace even in the midst of loss. Peace that surpasses all understanding.

I LOVE the way writing makes me feel. I feel relieved when I write. I feel free from restrictions when I write. Writing is the outlet to my soul. Writing has helped me to connect with so many Survivors all over the world. Writing takes away the anxiety. Writing eases my pain. Writing helps me reclaim my peace. The peace I claimed above. Thank you for giving me a reason to write again.

I HONOR peace by protecting it at all costs. I honor peace with boundaries. No you don't get to disrupt my peace. I will do whatever I can to honor my peace. Peace of mind is priceless, but you already know that right? Peace - Protect it. Honor it. Hold it in the highest regard.

I DESERVE peace.

I Claim, Love, Honor, Deserve was inspired by a virtual retreat I attended for Survivors hosted by Breaking the Silence Against Domestic Violence. During this retreat, we were prompted to complete these statements and this beautiful poem was birthed…

I Claim, Love, Honor, Deserve was inspired by a virtual retreat I attended for Survivors hosted by Breaking the Silence Against Domestic Violence. During this retreat, we were prompted to complete these statements and this beautiful poem was birthed. I do believe that writing is a therapeutic tool that helps to build emotional endurance. What is emotional endurance? Emotional Endurance is the ability to stay strong under challenging circumstances. I’ll be teaching my mentees this inside of Not By My Own Community on May 27, 2020. Sign up and get immediate access to this course and other masterclasses specifically created with you the Survivor, in mind. #notbymyown
